TASK:

The Te Waihora Co-Governors are concerned about the poor state of recreational activities at Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere. You have been asked to prepare a brief report that covers the following information:

· Describe the recreational activities that are available at Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere

· Explain the factors that are affecting the state of these recreational activities

· Discuss one possible way of improving the state of recreational activities at Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere

As part of your report you must also draw a multiple cause diagram that focuses on the poor state of recreational activities at Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere.

Your diagram must contain elements related to Biophysical/Ecological, Social/Cultural, and Economic factors.

You should also include at least one labelled feedback loop.

LENGTH/PRESENTATION:

Your work must include two main components:

· A written answer no longer than two-pages of A4 typed.

· A multiple cause diagram no larger than one-page of A3in total. Your diagram must be drawn using a computer.

· You should also provide a list of references (this is not included in the length limit).

You must use the template provided on Learn for this assignment (it contains pages and a layout to accommodate both parts of the assignment).

In your written answer you should make clear reference to the multiple cause diagram.
