In your case study presentation, include the following:

Results describe what you found through your investigations, e.g., the main themes. in interviews, questionnaire responses, and significant observations.
Explain the significance of the study and what can be learned from it.

1. What are you required to do?
There are two main tasks that you are needed to perform in this assignment. These are:
• Investigate the financial strength of an Australian business organisation.
• Calculate the most effective solution - selected/relevant financial ratios - using formulas: See PPT lecture slides, Learning Material, and the relevant book chapter for formulas.
Specifically, you will be needed to use the financial statements of your selected company to assess its financial position. In this regard, the unit contents covered in Modules A -C (Weeks 1-6) will be useful. Particularly, Module B and C contents are directly relevant (Weeks 4-6).

3. How to systematically do this assignment?
Please follow the steps detailed below to draft your assignment 2.
1. Select an Australian company/organisation (e.g., retail, hospitality, aged care, banking, not-for-profit)
2. Download the company's Annual Report 2022 and look at Financial Reporting or performance
3. Go to ProQuest Academic Platform to access the latest and relevant journals (2017-2023 issues) and search for keywords such as: "COMPANY NAME accounts reporting", "COMPANY NAME financial reporting", "COMPANY NAME financial standing", "COMPANY NAME financial health", "COMPANY NAME
reputation", "COMPANY NAME market profile", etc.
4. Go to Australian Financial Review (AFR) and Harvard Business Review (HBR) to access the latest and relevant news reports (2017-2023 issues) and search for keywords such as: "COMPANY NAME share value", "COMPANY NAME financial performance", "COMPANY NAME financial reporting", "COMPANY NAME financial standing", "COMPANY NAME financial health", "COMPANY NAME reputation", "COMPANY NAME market profile", etc.
You don't need to get a paid subscription for Australian Financial Review and Harvard Business Review as they do have some free articles that you can read each week by just creating an account. You can also see if VIT library has access to these.
5. Take screenshots of relevant financial tables from the company/organisation's Annual Report 2022 and paste these as Appendices at the end of your case study/business report.
6. Start drafting your report following the suggested structure. Keep a back-up of all your files on Cloud/Google Drive/USB drive. It best is to email the final draft to yourself.
7. Re-read your report. Check it for grammar/punctuation/style errors and revise and edit it before submission.
4. Formatting guidelines
• Font type and size: 12-point Calibri/Times New Roman/Arial,
• Line spacing: 1.5 line spacing
• Margins: 2.5 centimetres left-hand margins
• Headings: Bold text (not capitalised)
