8. Exhibit understanding of the relationship between the composition of nutritional intake and the outcomes of pregnancy and infant growth and development, children, early adolesce nts, teens and older adults.

9. Exhibit understanding of weight control principles as related to energy balance.

10. Exhibit understanding issues related to domestic and global hunger.

11. Exhibit understanding of issues related to food safety.
