The Eco Co-op Project with the help of the local foods market aims to achieve three major objectives. The first of these objectives is to promote and support local food production and purchasing. This follows the current global trend of being self-sufficient first. Additionally, it also helps keep resources (money) within the community. This is going to be achieved by sourcing food for the market from local producers, growing food ourselves in the greenhouse, and finally buying value-added goods from the training kitchen. The second goal of the business is to form partnerships with major producer and consumer groups. These groups will include Fraser farmers lakes farmers market, schools, local restaurants and many more. The final goal that the Eco Co-op market aims to achieve via the local foods market is to engage and retain youth. The local foods market and its greenhouse will create many exciting job opportunities for the local youth training them towards operating their own farms or managing their own businesses.

Business Model - The Local Foods Market is a family-owned business in Prince George, BC that strives to provide local foods to the community. The Local Foods Market receives products from the Eco Co-op Gardens and Greenhouse and the Eco Co-op Training Kitchen and sells them in a farmer's market atmosphere. The targeted market of health-conscious individuals supports this revenue stream

Value Proposition - The Local Foods Market will provide fresh, affordable local foods to our rural and indigenous communities while demonstrating, and supporting local food production and purchasing.

Grow, Purchase, Market and sell Local Foods

Local Foods to be used in the Training Kitchen, and for market and sale in the Local Foods Market
