Assignment:

Draw a picture that completely describes the process of a dihybrid cross for two traits. You can use fictitious examples or traits discussed in class. Your picture should start with two parents, one that is heterozygous for two genes and another that is heterozygous for one gene and homozygous recessive for the other. Draw the process of meiosis for both parents and identify all the gamete combinations possible for both individuals (make sure you consider and describe independent assortment). Make sure to label the alleles on both sister chromatids in all drawings so you can follow their pathway. After you have identified the gametes, create the punnet square and define the genotypic and phenotypic ratios.
