Question: For this discussion imagine you are a health care provider and are speaking with a couple who are trying to decide which one should have tubal ligation or a vasectomy. The couple are in their mid-forties, have three children and do not think they want to have more. The husband is worried about the surgery making him impotent, decreased sensation of orgasm and feeling like "less of a man." The wife is concerned with the invasiveness of the procedure and effects on her health. Make an argument, based on science, to help give them information about which surgery would be more effective, safe and less invasive.

Describe the procedure, healing time, side effects, etc... Also, provide one reason the other procedure would be less desirable for their partner.
