One of the first thionitrosyl complexes to be synthesized and studied was (Cp)Cr(CO)2(NS) (8 points)

This complex has CO stretching bands in the infrared at 1962 and 2033 cm-1. When the NS is replaced with the isoelectronic NO to form (Cp)Cr(CO)2(NO) the CO stretching vibrations shift to 1955 and 2028 cm-1. Based on this information is NO or NS a weaker π acid?

Upon UV irradiation one CO ligand is lost to form (Cp)Cr(CO)(NS) as a reactive intermediate. Draw the product you would expect from the reaction of this intermediate with H2 and describe the orbital between the metal and H2 needed to form that product.
