  4. Clear rationale of the population with the problem, the theory and the intervention?

  7. A very brief, well-synthesized evaluation is provided of the selected theory using the criteria for evaluating theory from your text
  8. Conceptual Diagram: A diagram that represents the theory you're pairing with an intervention. This diagram is "conceptual" and should show the theoretical concepts and how you are representing your study specific concepts, and the intervention concepts.
  9. Operational Diagram: Theoretical concepts along the top, study specific concepts and sub-concepts following underneath, and your measures along the bottom row. Include the intervention (identifying a protocol for delivery/fidelity) in the operational diagram. The operational diagram could be considered a reworking and expansion of your conceptual diagram that will include how the study specific and intervention concepts are operationalized or documented/measured. This diagram will be designed to display and connect concepts vertically from the theoretical (top row) to concrete (bottom row) levels of abstraction.
  10. A succinct description for each of the two diagrams.
