Environmental Sustainability
Select an environmental sustainability issue that has featured since 2015. Trace media coverage of the issue over several weeks. Your report should address the following:
- Describe the location and nature of the issue. Make sure that you include a description of the historical context of the issue in that place.
- Discuss how the issue developed, and how it plays out at a local, regional and global scale from a socio-ecological perspective.
- Critically analyse some solutions to the issue. These should be embedded within a review of relevant scientific literature.
NB: You should include copies of media articles used as the basis for this assignment when you submit. All resources should be referenced both in text and in a reference list using the Harvard system.
Maximum 2000 words (not including references and appendices) Purpose: This assessment is designed to develop your skills in 1) conducting independent research within the field of environmental sustainability, 2) thinking critically about your findings in the context of relevant literature, and 3) producing an original and cohesive report based on this work.
