Question: Select two management positions in the agency where you work or an agency you are familiar with. The two positions should occupy different levels of management.
1. Describe the level of management of each manager. Refer to the frameworks and terminology in Module 3 Part A. Support your reasoning with evidence (i.e., examples from your experience and other indicators that suggest the manager's level of management, including reference to at least two journal articles).
2. Analyze each managerial position, using the management functions described. How does each manager participate in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling? Provide specific examples.
3. Analyze each managerial position with respect to the types of skills required to be a good manager in that position. Which skill sets are needed, and how do they contribute to making the manager efficient and, or, effective? For each managerial position, discuss whether it is more important to be efficient or effective.
4. Which of the two positions do you believe is more difficult to recruit someone for? Explain why.
