Based on the case study presented, you need to response to the following questions and/or issues:
1. Please describe the leadership of the 2013 Conference Leadership Team in managing the whole planning of the SWIM's 2013 Annual Conference. In doing so, please provide the rationales of your response concisely and clearly.
2. What are the leadership and team behavioral issues in the Conference Leadership Team in planning the conference? Why did such issues come up in the Conference Leadership Team? Please state your rationales concisely and clearly.
3. Based on the case study, how would your group characterize the CFO, COO, and CMO's roles in the Conference Leadership Team, i.e., are they assuming leadership or managerial roles or else? Please state your rationales with strong argument.
4. From the perspective of evidence-based management in decision making process and the information provided in the case study, how would your group describe the Conference Leadership Team's decision making process? Are their decision making process following the concept of evidence-based management as highlighted in the reading materials? What could be the politics of the decision making process that your group may infer (if any) from this case study? Please provide your rationales to support your answer.
5. In the process of narrowing down the alternatives or choices in handling the issues faced by the Conference Leadership Team, the team presented three (3) choices as highlighted in the case study. If you were the Conference Leadership Team, then how would you select one among those three (3) choices (i.e., what sort of decision making process would your group apply in selecting the best choice among those three alternatives? Which alternative would your group select? And why?
6. Based on your response to point (5) above, what would be the consequences or implications of your selected choice on the conference team as well as on the future SWIM's annual conferences? Please provide your rationales concisely and clearly.
