Assignment 1: Creating Employee Development Programs
In this module, you reviewed the impact of professional development for organizational success. Organizations may have an array of programs to develop their members, ranging from extensive formal programs to informal initiatives such as mentoring or interest groups.
Use resources from professional literature in your research. Professional literature may include the online library resources; relevant textbooks; peer-reviewed journal articles; and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (.edu, .org, or .gov).
INSTRUCTIONS
On the basis of your research and experience, in a minimum of 400 words, respond to the following points:
• Utilize online library resources to find two or three examples of successful employee development programs.
• Compare and contrast the program features and the success the organization has had or might expect to have.
• Discuss what organizations can do to provide recognition to supervisors and employees to assist in maximizing productivity.
• Relate your discussion post to your professional experiences as applicable.
Assignment 2: The Leader and Organizational Change
In this module, you have also explored some of the challenges and opportunities when coaching and mentoring as well as the role and impact of coaching and mentoring on an organization facing change. In this second discussion assignment, you will assess the role of a change leader and the common mistakes and challenges they face when initiating and bringing about change.
