Teenagers, it has been said, rarely go anywhere without their cell phones. They are also significant consumers of social media, streaming audio and video channels, and mobile apps. Because they are "digital natives," many adolescents have an ease with such technologies. So, what does this mean for social work?

In recent years, partly due to public health concerns in the time of COVID-19, digital and web-based interventions have become more prevalent and accessible. Teletherapy using videoconferencing is just one example. Due to teens' facility with technology and their sometimes hectic lives, digital and web-based interventions might be one way to reach those who need help.

In this Discussion, you research one digital or web-based intervention that could address a concern faced by adolescents and consider the pros and cons of its use.

2) Select a concern that adolescents face, such as depression, suicide, bullying, self-esteem, eating disorders, substance use, or family dynamics and family conflict.

4) Be sure that your digital or web-based intervention utilizes artificial intelligence.
