In chapter 5 the author describes the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program, which consists of seven types of exercises - four being discussion based and three being operations based. Find an example of one of the seven types and explain who it involved, what was the scope, where did it take place, when and for how long was the exercise performed, why was it conducted, and what were the lessons learned? From your perspective was the identified exercise valuable and if so what made it valuable? If it was not valuable what were the important lessons learned that could be incorporated into the future. Do you feel these types of exercises benefit any type of organization or do they do little in terms of preparation?
