Go to the U.S. Census website (census.gov) to complete the assignment. Click on the Explore Data link.

Click on Explore Data Main, then scroll down and click on Quick Facts. In the "Quick Facts" section, type in "Demographics" in the topic block and your home city and state in the next block.

There should be two sections provided: "2010 Census" and "American Community Survey." Click on each of these.

Describe the general characteristics of your community, including median age, race, ethnicity, income, and education.
