Assignment:

You are working in a high school classroom with a 15-year-old student with a developmental disability. Part of your role is administering the student's medication at lunchtime, prescribed for their diagnosis of ADHD. The student takes the medication but tells you they do not like it and don't want to take it anymore because of how it makes them feel. You listen to the student and encourage them to speak to their parents about it when they get home.

The next morning you receive an email from the student's parents informing you that their child spoke to them about the medication, but that they, as the parents, are insisting the student continues taking the medication. The parents state that without the medication the student is "full of energy" when they get home from school and that the parents cannot get anything done. They request that you mix the medication into the student's pudding at lunchtime without them knowing.
