Ethical Dilemma,

Looking at the concept, of "what is the harm", is it acceptable to a certain degree that the ethical mandates that apply to us should or actually start at the point where there is a harmful result? What is wrong with the public thanking us with such a small token of appreciation? Analyze the ethical scenario.

You are an officer in uniform and on duty. You are standing in line in a fast-food burger place and the line is full. When it is your turn to order, the employee takes your order and says, "You get a police discount", and rings in a lesser amount than the order costs by 25%.

Describe the ethical dilemma faced.

In this situation what would you do and how would you respond. Keep in mind the place is very crowded. Explain your answer and the reasoning behind it.
