Question: Read or watch a piece of near-future speculative fiction and, in a 400-600 word essay, describe the differences between today's technologies/world and the technologies/world in the story, using (and citing) at least one course reading from any previous week as a framework. Be sure that your source involves near-future technologies, which means technologies that are depicted as an extension of today's capabilities, set in a world much like today's.

Some ideas for potential sources: Black Mirror or Upload episodes; near-future sci-fi books or movies like Minority Report, Her, Gattaca, A Scanner Darkly, Ex Machina, Ghost in the Machine (1999), Mitchells vs the Machines, The Martian, Sorry to Bother You, Contact, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Inception, Upgrade, etc.; or any of the three short films

(In contrast, movies/shows/franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune, Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Matrix, etc. involve technologies and worlds that differ too wildly from our own-they are not "near-future"!)
