Consider what clinical and diagnostic equipment is utilized on a regular basis. Equipment includes that needed to perform diagnostic tests on feces, urine, and blood as well as hair and skin samples.

This section should cover four diagnostic tests with one each for feces, urine, and blood. The other can be of your choosing.
Complete the following:

1. Describe the clinical equipment needed for sample collection, how the samples will be prepared for analysis, and how the diagnostic test is completed.

Equipment must take into account the test being performed. It may include slides, gloves, syringes with needles, vacutainers, blood tubes, microhematocrit tubes, centrifuge, blood testing machines.

2. What species concerns might arise during sample collection? This can be a concern for the animal and/or the person collecting the sample.

3. For each test, describe two problems that could be encountered during the sample collection and preparation process? What measures can be taken to avoid these problems? These can be issues that arise from equipment error or operator error.
