Case: Dundar Mufflin is a 35 person office supply company based out of Crantons, PA. They have served local small businesses' paper and office supply needs for over 40 years. In order to keep up with demand and better manage their supply chain they would like to install several vending machines, modeled after the one below, at local business parks. It would allow for common office supplies such as paper, pens, staplers, staples, tape, paper clips and the like to be purchased on the spot using a company account and/or credit card. Peter who is the only member of the Dundar Mufflin IT department, is concerned about the security of these payments and how it would connect to the existing purchasing capabilities available.
