Case Study: This unit's essay is about the diverse scenarios criminal justice leaders face in the workplace.You are a seasoned criminal justice leader who leads a group of 20 people. They have been under your leadership for five years. Recently, you have seen motivational issues with three individuals. You have tried talking with them to understand what is going on; however, each individual has replied that everything is fine. You know that everything is not fine.

Questions: You are charged with delving into what is going on with your unit. You decide to conduct research regarding motivation and performance. In a three-page essay assignment, research the following:

1. Discuss and describe the basic motivational theories and their basic assumptions regarding motivation in the workplace.

2. Based on being a criminal justice leader, discuss two theories that can be best applied to the criminal justice workplace.

3. Devise a roadmap, based upon the two theories above, that can assist criminal justice leaders to regain motivation in their workplaces.
