Course Description

This course covers the theory and application of various semiconductor devices. These include integrated circuits that are used as building blocks in larger systems.

Course Objectives

The course aims to enable students to:

a) Understand the characteristics of electronic devices

b) Implement and test electronic devices

c) Work with integrated circuits

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the students should be able to:

a) Explain the characteristics of semiconductor devices;

b) Describe the basic electronic circuits;

c) Analyse the different operating modes of transistors;

d) Analyse operational amplifiers;

e) Demonstrate the operation of analog to digital and digital to analog converters
