As a covert mission, find your own special way to make someone smile without them knowing that you were responsible. For example, what is a chore for them while they are away; leave a small anonymous gift; a glowing review or appreciative comment online-without identifying yourself. You may not be able to observe your target's actual reaction, but take a few minutes to imagine the person discovering your secret act of kindness.

Describe the act of kindness, your response to it, and (if you could observe) your target's response. Is this something you might want to do it again? How might you do it differently to increase the positive impact for the other person and/or for yourself.
