Question - Describe the steps that occur for each of the two major pathways of the physiological stress response (the SAM axis and the HPA axis), starting with activation of the amygdala and ending with changes that occur in the body when these axes are activated (name at least two changes that occur for the body when the SAM axis is activated and two changes that occur for the body when the HPA axis is activated). For this question, it would be easiest to first describe the steps in the SAM axis and then next describe the steps in the HPA axis. Make sure to include the major steps in each of these pathways, the hormones that are released for each of these pathways, and discuss at least one major difference between these two pathways.
