Muscle tissue contracts, which allows for movement, whether it is the movement of the bones or the movement of a substance within the body. Muscles are one of our four main tissue types in the body and are critical for survival. But, what happens if something affects the muscles?

This week, you will research a disorder or disease of the muscular system related to any of the types of muscle tissue (skeletal, cardiac, or smooth). Do some research and answer the questions below.
