Project Feasibility Report (Project-I)

Objectives

Project feasibility report aims to encourage students to prepare a report by identifying and conceptualizing a novel prospective business proposal and evaluating it on the basis of various feasibility criteria such as market feasibility, financial feasibility, technical feasibility & organizational feasibility.

Learning Outcomes

After successful completion of this project student will be able to

a. Conceptualize a novel business proposal based on related background literature.

b. Describe the business proposal in brief and finalize a project feasibility title with project guides.

c. Describe significance of the proposed feasibility report.

d. Determine data collection methods, tools and techniques used to collect, record and analyze data.

e. Outline the limitations of the feasibility report.

f. Evaluate the project on market feasibility criteria such as potential market, existing competition and sales forecast etc.

g. Evaluate the project on financial feasibility criteria such as estimation of capital, costs and revenue etc.

h. Evaluate the project on technical feasibility criteria such as product features, plant capacity machinery requirement and supply of materials etc.

i. Evaluate the project on organizational feasibility criteria such as organizational structure, manpower estimations, authorities and responsibilities etc.
j. Report the feasibility findings based on market feasibility, finance feasibility, technical feasibility and organizational feasibility

k. Finally asses and report the proposed business feasibility.

Students prepare feasibility report under the guidance of a project guide by using prescribed templates and guidelines. They are encouraged to use the theoretical knowledge gained from theory subjects to propose business feasibility by their guides.

A standard time line and instructions are also given for progressive evaluation and end term evaluation. They are required to complete and present their feasibility report in end-term final project viva-voce examination before guide and examiners (faculty members).
