Purpose of Assignment

Students will apply their knowledge of discrimination laws that could be violated in the recruitment and selection of employees, and how to avoid those violations. In Week 2, students will learn about negligent hiring, as well as minimum wage and overtime requirements under FLSA. Students will apply their knowledge of different categories of employees, identifying advantages and disadvantages of each category.
