Create a journal that describes Melbourne Balwyn suburb. identify the local government area (LGA), or council/shire, within selected community is located.

You should describe characteristics of the area: is it rural, residential, suburban, inner-urban, regional, or remote? Describe characteristics of the population: is it largely homogeneous, or highly diverse, what are the cultural and ethnic backgrounds of the people who live there? You may wish to describe amenity, including access to transport, schools, parks and gardens, as well as availability of shops and shopping centres, restaurants and cafes, etc.

To support your perceptions, please use data from the ABS Community Profiles series. You can find this by clicking on the link above. This allows you to search for any LGA in Australia (as well as other geographic divisions). You can find information about where people were born, whether they speak English or other languages at home, occupation, income and so on. To make these data meaningful, you should compare the area you have chosen with either the Greater Melbourne Area, or Victoria (if you've chosen a location in Victoria). For interstate locations, use the analogous capital city area or state data.
