Question: A manager of an emergency response team should be familiar with multiple evidence-based approaches to be ready to make effective decisions when handling emergencies. Theories have been used to help explain and solve problems in governance and public policy affecting the emergency management field. Models based on theory have also been effectively used to help policymakers understand how different presidents behaved when faced with disasters.

These models inform approaches that motivate emergency managers to self-reflect so they better understand their actions and improve their ability to make decisions during emergencies.

Review the theories in Ch. 2 of your textbook and in the Theories of Emergency Management tutorial before responding to this discussion:
