You have miniaturized yourself and are now driving a small pod inside bacterium Innerspace OK back to science. You are inside bacterium Innerspace. You are exploring the various ways that this cell generates energy. You notice that it has a glucose-PTS transport system, a fully functional electron transport chain, and that it is running the F1F0-ATPase. You also observe that it is using oxygen as the terminal electron acceptor.

1. Describe the Innerspace bacterium in terms of -trophies.

2. Describe how the Innerspace bacterium obtains its three energy intermediates.

3. Using your miniature pod laser, you destroy the entire electron transport chain, quinones and proton pumps. But...the cell still lives! How is this cell able to make the three energy intermediates now?! Describe.
