Note at least one example of each sense: smell, touch, sight, and sound are required. Taste is a bonus: if it is not there, is there a place it could be added without feeling tacked on? Where else can they add more sensory detail?
Question 4. Look for vague words like "nice," "beautiful," "bad," "ugly," or "thing." These words by themselves aren''t unusable, but should be followed with strong details. Suggest stronger words or details.
Question 5. Read through and circle grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. You need not correct them: just make the writer aware of where they are.
Question 6. Note where you think is the strongest part of the paper, and explain.
Question 7. Suggest what portions the author might consider cutting. Note the weakest part of the essay and explain.
