Using either the Search menu, or by dragging the sky around with your mouse, locate the constellation of Orion. In the bottom left of the screen, ensure the "Imagery" is set to "Digitized Sky Survey (Color)" in the bottom left of the screen.

A) Zoom in on Orion, such that the boundary of the constellation fills your screen. Take a screen capture of the view you have of the Orion constellation, and include it here as your answer to this question.

B) Without moving the screen in anyway, change the "Imagery" to "WISE All Sky (Infrared)." Take a screen capture of this new view you have of the Orion constellation, and include it here as your answer to this question.

C) The image you captured in A is a visible light all-sky image, the image you captured in B is an infrared light. Discuss the differences in the waves that we perceive as visible and infrared light. Why can't you see all the light that is shown in the WISE All Sky (Infrared)?

D) Without moving the screen in anyway, change the "Imagery" to "Hydrogen Alpha Full Sky Map." On the left is the energy level transitions from a regular hydrogen atom. H-alpha is the common name given to the transition between level 3 and level 2 (or vice-versa). What wavelength of light has an energy equal to that transition? Given the answer to that question, on what portion of the electromagnetic spectrum does H-alpha exist (ie, infrared? X-ray?)

E) Given your answer to D), what hypothesis can put forward for why we can't see the sky as it looks with the Hydrogen Alpha Full Sky Map? (Hint: look at slide 7 of Part 2 - Properties of Light)
