Assignment: Writing
Review the curriculum with your mentor teacher and select one lesson that you will observe. You will need to submit an observational write-up of your mentor teacher's lesson (remove any identifying information). For your observational write-up, you will write out a condensed lesson plan accurately reflecting the lesson your mentor teacher is implementing. When you schedule an observation, make sure that the lesson will provide evidence of either formative or summative assessments. Your observation will be guided by both a template and the mentor teacher's written lesson plan based on the planned learning objectives.
The structure of your observation should engage three phases of lesson implementation.
A. Introductory: Describe how your mentor teacher introduces the lesson. Was the learning objective/s clear in how the lesson was introduced?
B. Developmental: Describe how your mentor teacher presented content and planned activities. Did these align with the learning objective/s?
C. Concluding: Describe how the teacher concluded the lesson, and the assessment and/or closing reflection that was used. To what extent did these align with the learning objective/s. Get the instant assignment help.
