Part of the managerial accountant's role is to allocate indirect costs. Imagine your organization has a handful of the most profitable products and then quite a few products which are less profitable. Describe how you would allocate costs. Is it ethical to allocate the indirect costs to the most profitable products in order to ensure the organization continues producing the less profitable products? Explain your reasoning.
