Flowers pollinated by bees and flowers pollinated by butterflies have very different physical characteristics, as we discussed in class. Bees and butterflies also have very different life cycles: bees become active in the spring, but many butterflies do not complete metamorphosis until midsummer. Interestingly, some flowers can be pollinated by either insect.
