Assignment Task: The text defines policy as a rule or guideline that directs individual, organizational, or societal behavior. The text also defines environmental policy as a public policy that pertains to human interactions with the environment. It generally aims to regulate resource use or reduce pollution to promote human welfare, and/or to protect natural systems. Lastly the text defines economics as the study of how we decide to use scarce resources to satisfy demands for goods and services.

An environmental policy "should" satisfy the needs of society, the needs of the environment and the needs of the economy.

Research one policy laid forth by a governing agency that impact your life. You can research policies put forth by the United Nations or the Federal Government all the way down to policies that are put forth by you college or homeowners association, as long as it is something that feels impacts you. The policy you choose should also be able to be connecting to the environment in some way.

Name and describe the policy that you researched. Consider and describe how the policy impacts society, the economy, and the environment. Are all parties considered fairly in the policy? Why or why not? How could the policy be improved? Your response should be 2 pages double spaced 12 pt font.
