In a fictional situation a person is in an accident and can't sense any auditory stimuli. This accident also destroyed primary visual cortex. Doctors believe that they can possibly rewire optic nerve to primary auditory cortex. Brainstorm a way for the patient to be able to detect visual stimuli using perceptions associated with their auditory cortex. Describe how the different aspects of visual stimuli (brightness, color, location in visual field etc) can be put into context in a meaningful way be using different aspects of auditory perception ( freq, loudness, location in space).
