The manufacturing facility where you work is experiencing counterproductive work behavior in the department (tardiness, poor performance, and gossip) between the day and evening shift employees. As a result, production numbers have slipped in comparison with other regional production facilities in the company. As the newest member of the management team, you have been tasked with analyzing what is wrong and coming up with a plan to increase job satisfaction and employee motivation. You are to present your analysis and plan in PowerPoint form for the management team, general manager of your facility, and the regional manager.
Be sure to cover the following information in your PowerPoint presentation
1. Give some background on your research findings about cognitive dissonance, attitudes, and job performance.
2. Choose an approach for measuring job satisfaction, and explain why this is the right approach for your company.
3. Describe how job conditions can influence job satisfaction, and recommend changes for increasing job satisfaction.
