Question: Migration of people, within borders and across borders, is not a new phenomenon. What is new is the speed, direction, and nature of migration. For instance, globalization has been an accelerator of economic migration and traditional senders such as Europe are now immigrant receivers The effects of these and other factors vary widely, and as this week's readings show, globalization has affected different areas of migration. List some of these areas and use examples of countries affected to explain them. Further, describe how immigration policies adopted in at least one country unintentionally target refugees.
