Case Study: It has been six months since you became the CEO of PHIO, and it is evident that there are some issues with organizational culture. First, it was the issue of motivation among the employees. Then, two employees went through mediation to resolve their conflicts. Through your other interactions with employees, you have come to realize that the organization's middle management needs leadership and management training. You are interested in developing an organizational leadership training program. You believe that your leadership training program could also be replicated by other local health organizations.
You also know there have been some successes. Your organization successfully planned and implemented an influenza vaccine clinic, all under budget! PHIO also recently received a large grant to implement a youth development program that will provide healthy social development opportunities to children who do not have access to them. These include a peer-mentoring program and after-school activities. PHIO also fundraised enough money to continue its political advocacy campaign against youth vaping in Epi City.
In two weeks, you plan to deliver an oral presentation to the PHIO employees describing a tentative plan for your leadership training program.
You will follow up your presentation by developing and sharing the budget for your training program and any other activities you want to do with your board of directors.
You will also be delivering a separate communication to community partners about the leadership training program.
Question: A one to two page communication strategy for each of your audiences: the employees and the community members. Each strategy should be one got two pages. In your communication strategy, describe how and why you are communicating what you are communicating. Be specific. Use and cite Longest and Darr's Chapter 14 in your communication strategy.
