Illustrate the importance of setting up the physical classroom environment in order to prevent interfering and unwanted behaviors and to create a more effective learning environment. Include proactive approaches to avoid behavioral problems that included the design of rules, routines, and schedules. Finally, applied behavior analysis and its theories and approaches were introduced.

With these basics of classroom management in mind, discuss the following:

1. Preventive, supportive, and corrective discipline. Define each of these approaches and discuss them in terms of proactive, active, and reactive strategies to classroom management.

2. Design two classroom rules and evaluate how they line up with the characteristics of effective classroom rules? What are the rewards for compliance? What are the consequences for non-compliance?
