The Task Your task is to write a report on how you envisage that ‘Lean'principlescould be applied in your two selected organisations. Specifically, you are required to:

a) Identify and explain four different types of waste you might expect to find in the core operations activities of each of your selected organisations CARS AND LIBRARY (real or imaginary ones).You should provide some evidence, or a sound rationale for the types of waste identified. I DON'T NEED DEFINATION OF THE WASTES. You should use 4 of this waste for car and 4 for library you can only repeat 1 waste as they are 7 so 4 waste for car and 4 for library.

Wastes: (waiting time, over production, transport, process, inventory, defects, motion)

b) Explain how the application of ‘Lean'principles could practically help your selected organisationsreduce or eliminate four types of wastewhich identified in part (a). You should address each organisation separately, at this stage.

c) Taking the parts (a) and (b) into account, identify and explore the similarities and differences between your selected organisationsin their ‘Lean' implementation programmes.
