Coursework Project
The coursework project is an individual project. It involves application of course material to describe, analyze and interpret a mini case study or secondary data of your choice. The data selected should contain a minimum of two variables that are related. A minimum sample size of 30 should be used in this analysis. The total word count of the report cannot exceed 1000-1200 words excluding the data and charts. There should be five sections to this report:
1) Introduction/Research Question - Clearly state the research question you are trying to address.
2) Data Description -This should include a detailed description of the data used in the analysis including data size, variables used and their descriptions. The measurement scale of the variables needs to be discussed.
3) Analysis - This section needs to include the following:
(i) Descriptive statistics and graphs of the data.
(ii) At least one hypothesis test for a mean or a proportion.
(iii) Regression Analysis needs to be done. In the regression analysis you need to clearly state the dependent and independent variables, plot the data, estimate the regression line, comment on the fit of the line using the plot and R2, test and see if the relationship is significant. The analysis should be done in Excel or SPSS.
4) Conclusion/Recommendations - Based on your analysis in section 3 what are your conclusions. Please refer to the appropriate analysis in the previous section when making your conclusions.
5) Appendix - The data used in the analysis needs to be included in the appendix.
