Interview a Correctional Counselor in a court/jail. Write an analysis of the interview. (An analysis does not mean that you are stating the responses to each interview question in a laundry list format). Ask the Correctional Counselor the following questions (located in part 2) and provide an analysis.

Part 1:

Begin your paper by explaining the role of your counselor according to research. You should cite your reference source. This explanation should not be written from the perspective of the interviewee, rather research. You will then compare the information that the counselor stated as his/her job and indicate in your paper whether they align. If they do not align, refer to your interview notes and provide your thoughts as to why the interviewee's role deviates from your research.

Summarize the interview in terms of:

Whether the job is challenging and why
Whether the job poses any risks
Other items that you learned during your interview

Describe a typical workday for you in your counseling position?
What is one mistake you have made in this job and what did you learn from it?
Generally, what are the biggest challenges you face in this job? Why?
Is this a job that the average person could retain for thirty years (retirement age)? Why? Why Not?
Do you feel safe as you perform the duties of your job? Why? Why Not?
