Reaction is:

1) Bromobenzene + Mg in Ether ---> Phenylmagnesiumbromide

2) Phenylmagnesiumbromide+ Benzophenone ---(HCL)--> Triphenylmethanol

Information:

76 µL (113 mg, 0.72 mmol) of Bromobenzene (MW 157mg/mmol) in 400 µL of anhydrous ether.

105 mg (0.58 mmol) of benzophenone (MW 182mg/mmol) in 300 µL of anhydrous diethyl ether.

Triphenylmethanol (MW 260mg/mmol) FInal Product= (16mg)

FInd Theoretical yield of triphenylmethanol

Find actual % Yield of triphenylmethanol
