Specific requirements:

Question 1. Determine a 3D geometry for this case study. It could be any 3D geometry suitable for compressible external flow simulation, such as a 3D wing model, a fuselage or any other configuration. Describe your 3D model specification.

Question 2. Create structured/hybrid mesh based on the 3D geometry, describe the mesh, such as mesh resolution, mesh type, mesh size, and mesh quality. Demonstrate the mesh from different angles to evaluate its applicability for the corresponding simulation.

Question 3. Provide a physical description of the problem, including determination of the flow conditions and identifying the source of the validation data. 3D Compressible flow is required.

Question 4. Carry out a three-dimensional compressible flow simulation using ANSYS CFD solver (CFX or Fluent) for your case. Results data must be presented by proper post-processing tool (ideally CFD Post), including pressure/velocity contour plots, convergence monitors history, and any other key flow variables (such as separation flow area, pressure jump across the shock wave, etc). You can further your practice by doing an unsteady simulation based on the same case. You have to describe clearly on the unsteady simulation process and model setup, including the calculation of an appropriate time step.

Question 5. Validate your results with the comparison data. Compare and discuss your results (this must be a technical discussion) and finally a technical conclusion. Comparison plots to be completed in MATLAB or Excel, no screen shots.
