HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS: This new patient is a 47-year-old woman who presented to the dermatology outpatient clinic for a skin examination and was noted to have a red papule on her left breast. The lesion had been present for 1 year and was asymptomatic. The patient has a past medical history notable for papillary carcinoma of the same breast 2 years prior, which was treated with breast conservation surgery.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: The lesion appeared as a firm and nontender erythematous papule, 4 mm. There was no clinical evidence of ulceration. A punch excision of the lesion was performed in clinic.
