A large manufacturing company is embarking on a project to replace a system that tracks travel expenses within the organization. The current system used is old and outdated. The vendor of the existing system has notified the organization that the system will no longer be supported in the middle of the next year. Two to three people in the organization have a great deal of experience with the current system. The new system that has been selected is from a different vendor and is built on new technology that the organization has not implemented before. The organization has reached out to a consulting company to assist in the project management process early on.
