A rectangle frame of conducting wire has negligible resistance and width w and is held vertically in a magnetic field of magnitude B. A metal bar with mass m and resistance R is placed across the frame, maintaining contact with the frame. Derive an expression for the terminal velocity of the bar if it is allowed to fall free along this frame starting from rest. Neglect friction between the wired and metal bar.
