Two charged particles are located along the x-axis, +4uC at the origin (0,0) and -8uC at the point (2m,0).

a) Derive an equation for the magnitude and direction of the electric field along the x axis. (Hint there is a point on the negative x axis where the electric field is zero)

b) Derive an equation for the electric potential along the x axis

c) Graph the electric field and electric potential along the x axis

d) How much work would it take to slowly bring a -12uC charged particle located at (-5m,0)

e) Determitude and direction of the force on the -12uC charged particle located at (-5m,0)

f) The -12uC charged particle is released. What is maximum speed attained by the particle if it has a mass of 10^-6 kg.
